CHRISTINE NAUNGAYAN, MD

General and Forensic Psychiatrist

My goal is to collaborate with patients, addressing their mental health needs and empowering them to live healthier, more fulfilling lives with private treatment options.

I am a general adult psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience, having completed my residency training and forensic fellowship at Yale. During my time at Yale, I had the privilege of serving as program chief resident, and I continue to maintain an academic affiliation with Yale and the psychiatric community in New Haven, Connecticut. My practice includes pharmacotherapy, with a focus on mood disorders, postpartum depression, anxiety, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), ADHD, OCD, weight loss, geriatric medicine, forensic psychiatry, and maintaining sobriety post-substance abuse.

I am dedicated to forming collaborative and reciprocal relationships with my patients. My goal is to meet their mental health needs in a medical capacity while empowering them to lead more fulfilling, healthy, and rewarding lifestyles. I offer a range of private treatment options, including pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy, as well as a combination of therapy and medication management. I also can explore alternative therapies and bio/psycho/social/spiritual counseling for patients interested in a more holistic approach to their mental health.

In addition to my expertise in general psychiatry, I have specialty training in geriatric psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. I have treated a broad spectrum of patients, from adolescence to geriatric, addressing issues including psychotic disorders, OCD, attention deficit disorders, and mood disorders, among other psychiatric concerns.

For patients who prefer telepsychiatry, I offer remote sessions and work collaboratively with therapists in our office to provide comprehensive care. Whether patients seek medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination of both, my goal is to support them in achieving their best mental health outcomes.
