SAMANTHA COLON, PMHNP-BC
Doctor of Nursing Practice
She is also board-certified by the ANCC as a medical-surgical nurse. Samantha's goal is to help patients thrive while managing their mental health conditions.
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on helping patients navigate life with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and insomnia. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University and went on to complete my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Rutgers School of Nursing. Additionally, I hold a board certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a certified medical-surgical nurse.
With experience in both correctional and hospital settings, I have worked extensively with patients suffering from chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, COPD, hypertension, congestive heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms, and stroke. My broad medical background gives me a comprehensive understanding of the impact that both physical and mental health can have on overall well-being.
My primary goal is to provide safe, individualized treatments that allow patients to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. I take a compassionate approach, offering care for individuals struggling with a wide range of conditions. My mission is to help my patients move forward, feel heard, and ultimately make life feel “easier.”
